When I first heard about Marketing Cloud, I honestly thought it was just another digital marketing tool. Coming from a software engineering background, I didn't pay much attention to it.
At first, marketing felt far from the engineering path I had imagined. But as I explored Salesforce Marketing Cloud more deeply, I started to see how strongly it connects with problem-solving, data, automation, and technical creativity.
I began with the fundamentals, learning the core concepts and understanding how the platform works in real business scenarios. I was curious, but still unsure, until I finally got hands-on access. With my mentor's guidance, I secured a subscription and started building directly in the system. That practical experience gave me real clarity and confidence.
"Salesforce Marketing Cloud is not just about marketing—it's a powerful platform with complex technical layers."
Since getting access to the system, I've been learning and practicing every day. Recently, I also started learning through Trailhead, which has helped me strengthen my fundamentals.
So far, I've covered the basics of Email Studio, Mobile Studio, CloudPages, Content Builder, Contact Builder, Automation Studio, Journey Builder, and even started building custom SFMC tools. My next goal is to take the Email Specialist Certification next month, and then the Marketing Cloud Developer Certification.
Looking back, I never thought I would shift towards something like this. But with the right guidance and consistent effort, things started to make sense. This is just the beginning of my journey, and I'm excited to see where it takes me.
